West North West homes Leeds is a not for profit Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO), limited by guarantee and wholly owned by Leeds City Council. It is responsible for providing housing management and property investment services on behalf of the Council within the West and North West Districts of the city.
WNWhL seeks to provide a highly quality responsive repairs service, whilst recognising the need to be pro-active and undertake an effective planned and programmed maintenance programme. In April 2011, we completed procurement of responsive repairs, maintenance, refurbishment and gas servicing contracts and appointed Morrison and Mears as our new working Partners.
The role: You will be leading the Cost Management function, which is a key role within the Repairs and Maintenance team. You’ll be pivotal in ensuring that repairs and maintenance represents value for money for both WNWhL’s customers and its Stakeholders.
This role will define the end-to-end cost management processes to ensure the highest possible standard that recognise the effective interaction between cost, schedule and quality performance. You will be an expert on cost Management and be able to liaise with our contractors to ensure that we have accurate information to underpin our intelligent client decision making. This will also mean reviewing the schedule of rate and lifecycle cost data, as well as deploying the full range of cost analysis techniques.
What we are looking for: We are looking for an experienced Cost Control Manager with construction management experience to monitor and ensure effective cost reporting. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise directly with contractors, senior management and other team members alike.
Holding a relevant degree and professional qualification, you’ll actively strive for continuous improvement and instil a culture of best practice. With proven business awareness that can always see the ‘bigger picture’, you must also be a first-class team leader and stakeholder manager who can consistently make improvements, successfully influence and develop a strong professional team.
The post holder will form part of the Repairs Operational Leadership team that is accountable for ensuring we deliver the first class repairs service our customers deserve, to time and within budget.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a newly established team within a successful company that has a strong emphasis on value for money, customer focus and are highly committed to our employees, who we see as the key to our continued growth and success.
Closing Date: Tuesday 21stFebruary 2012 (Noon)
