Our client is a UK firm with a number of offices who are working both across the U.K. and on projects worldwide providing a commercial service to contractors for Claims, Contracts Management etc. They now have a requirement for 3 - 4 months based near to Perth, Australia. They require two Claims Consultants who will ideally be Quantity Surveyors by training to become involved in a claim on a large harbour works project. This is a high profile project which is in delay and overrun of costs. You will be a British or Australian Quantity Surveyor with Claims experience, be able to work as part of a team, write narrative, help to dig out information for the formulation of the claim and ideally have previous experience of civil engineering type projects. You will ideally have a Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar, possibly be MRICS, MCIArb or similar and have a number of years of claims and contracts experience gained with either a large contractor or another firm of construction claims consultants. You should be available to travel in March and work 6 days per week for a continuous period of 3 to 4 months. Accommodation, transport, flights etc. will all be provided.
