£140m L&Q refurb work up for grabs
London & Quadrant Housing Trust is looking for contractors to enter a four-year partnering framework agreement for a programme of internal refurbishment works to its 72,000 properties across south London.
Four contractors are sought for a workload that is estimated in the range between £80m and £140m over the four-year term.
L&Q said that it was ‘keen to pursue the government's sustainability agenda and to combat fuel poverty among residents’. It therefore wants to explore means of improving sustainability in their properties and will invite suggestions for other ‘added-value eco-commitments’.
The proposed works include repair and/or replacement of internal works including kitchens, bathrooms, heating systems, electrical re-wiring and associated building works. Asbestos removal is also involved.
Any firm with a turnover of less than £20m need not bother applying as it will not be considered.
