A-Plant invests £4m in portable power

6 Oct 15 A-Plant has enhanced its fleet of portable air compressors and generators by placing a £4m order with Doosan for almost 500 machines.

A-Plant said that this was the largest single order that it had ever placed with Doosan.

The order includes compressors that supply compressed air from 260 to 400cfm, as well as single-tool and two-tool compressor generators. Within the order are two types of Stage IIIB compliant portable air compressors - the 7/73 and 10/110 models. Both models have the new ‘Dual Mode’ feature that allows the operator to switch instantly between low pressure and high pressure.

A-Plant director of purchasing and fleet management Andrew Winlow said: “Doosan has been a long-standing supplier to A-Plant for many years and we have invested in these new Stage IIIB compliant, state-of-the-art models to offer our customers maximum operational flexibility. We are always mindful that productivity and efficiency are two key drivers for our customers and we have selected models which deliver on both fronts, for example compressor generators which allow air tools to be powered at the same time as electrical equipment.”
