Adjudication and set-off

The claimant contractor applied for summary judgement to enforce an award made by an adjudicator. The defendant claimed it was entitled to set off its counterclaim for liquidated damages and the part of the adjudicator's award which the defendant maintained had been paid to the claimant under an interim certificate.
