Aecom lands $14m Qatar design
Aecom has been awarded a US$14m (£9m) design and supervision contract for the Qatar Petroleum headquarters development in Doha.
“When completed, this district will create a ‘central hub’ for local and international businesses in Doha,” said Aecom chairman and chief executive officer John Dionisio.
Under the contract, Aecom will provide design, fit-out and contractor supervision for the 7.5m sq ft mixed-use development, consisting of nine office tower buildings, a 405-room hotel with conference facilities and a multi-storey car park.
Construction of the development, formerly known as Barwa financial district, is scheduled for completion during March 2014.
