Alimak lands £5m Wood Wharf order

Sweden's Alimak has secured a £5m contract to supply construction hoists for the new Wood Wharf development in Canary Wharf, London.

The order from Canary Wharf Contractors for 57-storey block of flats includes high performance construction hoists with related services for the vertical access systems during the project. Most of the equipment is being delivered during 2017 and will be in use until 2020.

“This is the third large order we have received from the Canary Wharf Group recently in London,” said Alimak chief executive Tormod Gunleiksrud, “and we are proud to extend our partnership on this project.

“The new Wood Wharf development of office and retail space is very exciting and we are very pleased to see a continued interest in our solutions that are built to support safe and reliable vertical access during the construction period,” he added.
