MW Groundworks’ latest addition is a Volvo EC140E. It joins an EC140D and a EC210D in the fleet, as well as a zero swing ECR58 compact excavator purchased in 2015.
“Since making the initial investment in purchasing Volvo equipment six years ago, we haven’t been let down, either by the product or the support we receive from Volvo’s Stirling support centre. Owning and operating the Volvo brand has paid dividends,” said MW Groundworks proprietor Mark Wang, who founded the business 24 years ago.
The contractor does a lot of work for the Forestry Commission and the Woodland Trust as well as construction companies. The new Volvo EC140E has been deployed on a large clearance project operating a heavy duty hydraulically powered flail.
