The £7m contract is the first to be awarded under Lot 3 environmental services of HS2’s professional services framework.
Lot 3 is made up of a total of five packages - the remaining packages to be awarded are for the environmental impact assessments (EIAs). Arup will coordinate the work of the environmental companies appointed to these contracts.
In this role Arup will provide technical leadership and oversight in the preparation of the EIAs for the route from London to the West Midlands. It will produce the environmental statement that will form part of the hybrid bill documentation for the Parliamentary approval process in 2013.
