The move is to meet growing demand in the Texan city, which is seen as the USA’s energy headquarters and a world centre for virtually every segment of the oil and gas industry.
Marc Scott has been hired to lead the energy and technical facilities team and grow Balfour Beatty’s presence in the Houston energy sector market. He has more than 35 years of experience in design, construction and project management services. His work has covered sectors including laboratory construction, blast-resistant control room construction, petro-chemical production, healthcare renovation and expansion work for clients such as University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Chevron and Halliburton.
“Marc will foster new business opportunities in the energy, oil and gas sectors and work closely with our clients to provide the same level of quality service that we offer nationwide,” said Steve Mechler, division president for the Houston office.
