It will provide preconstruction and construction services under the contract for Anthracite Realty Partners and Bennett Benner Partners. Balfour Beatty is shaping the project’s final scope and contract, which includes the core, shell and interior finishing of the new 30,000m2 commercial office tower at 640 Taylor Street, which will be known as 640 Taylor.

The mixed-use tower will also include ground floor shops, a 12th-floor sky lobby and conference centre, and a restaurant and roof garden.

“We will leverage Lean construction practices and the latest virtual design technologies to efficiently deliver this project for Anthracite Realty Partners and Bennett Benner Partners,” said Read Ballew, president of Balfour Beatty’s Texas Division.

The project is scheduled for completion in December 2017.
