BAM closes deal for €230m Irish bypass

27 Jan 16 Ireland’s National Roads Authority and BAM PPP PGGM Iridium consortium have reached financial cost on a €230m bypass scheme.

The N25 New Ross Bypass project involves the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of approximately 13.6 km of new dual carriageway and 1.2 km of new or upgraded single carriageway. The project’s main structure is the 887m River Barrow crossing, a three-tower extradosed bridge.

Construction will be undertaken by a BAM Civil and Dragados Ireland joint venture and will start on site in March. The road will come into operation in January 2019, followed by a 25-year concession period.
