Royal BAM Group has put UK sustainability director Nitesh Magdani in charge of its global sustainability team.

Nitesh Magdani, aged 41, has been director of sustainability at BAM Construct UK since 2013, having joined the company in 2011 as an architect.

In his new position, Nitesh Magdani will lead BAM’s worldwide sustainability team, within the strategy department. This team is responsible for coordinating and developing the group’s sustainability expertise.

BAM’s appointment has parallels with Skanska’s decision last year also to give its UK sustainability chief a global role when UK environment director Jennifer Clark was made senior vice president, sustainability, for Skanska’s group-wide operations.
