The 59,000 m2 structure will provide space for 2,764 staff and production vehicles, replacing an existing surface car park.

The car park will be handed over in phases matching car production requirements in the adjacent Jaguar plant.

The structure will sit on piled foundations with pads. Bourne Parking will provide the steel frame with concrete planks, pre-cast stair cores and cladding.

Ridge & Partners is the architect and structural engineer and Mace is the quantity surveyor. The project is overseen for Jaguar Land Rover by AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) Construction.

The scheme is scheduled for completion in April 2017

BAM contracts manager Jon Kiteley said: “The Jaguar Land Rover brand is very prestigious so it’s a special success for the region. We’re currently working at Three Snowhill and Tata Technologies, so we have some impressive commercial partners to complement a leading education portfolio across the West Midlands.”
