Beaver opens second large depot

21 Mar 17 Equipment hire firm Beaver 84 has relocated its Essex depot from West Thurrock to much larger premises in Basildon.

At 2.5 acres, Beaver’s new Basildon depot is more than twice the size of the Thurrock one that it replaces.

The move comes just weeks after the company opened its biggest depot to date in Bordon, Hampshire. The Basildon depot equals Bordon for size.

“This is another exciting time for Beaver 84 as we now have almost 3 extra acres of space across both Basildon and Bordon which will serve us well in our efforts to expand over the coming years,” said managing director  Steve Tysoe. “As with Bordon, we will use the additional space at our purpose built Basildon depot to vastly increase our stock so that we’re able to offer our full range of products and ultimately reach more customers in the southern region.”

The Basildon depot will also act as the edge protection hub for the company’s southern region, with all of Beaver’s edge protection stock being controlled by a team based across two depots, Basildon in the south and Widnes in the north.
