Selwood has opened a specialist pump hire and sales branch in Bedford.

The new branch will stock a range of surface pumps covering solids handling, high head, high flow, hydraulic submersible and chopper applications. It also has a full range of explosion proof electric submersible pumps for hire or sale.

Selwood also offers on-site inspections, technical appraisals and method statements.

Selwood said that once the branch is established it would become the company’s specialist centre for electro submersibles and ancillary equipment in the south.

The branch will then operate with electric submersible pump technicians trained to examine and re-certify explosion proof submersible pumping equipment. This would then complement the operation at Selwood’s specialist pump centre in Liverpool which was opened last year to service the northern branch network.
