Bids called for A9 dualling package

Transport Scotland has published the contract notice for the A9 Luncarty to Pass of Birnam dualling project.

The contract out to tender, with an estimated £70m price tag, is for the design, construction and maintenance of 9.5km of new A9 dual carriageway between Luncarty and Pass of Birna, just north of Perth.

Four new overbridges are proposed to maintain local acess across the A9, along with the widening of one existing underbridge and the provision of a new side road bridge. Other structures, such as retaining walls and culverts will also be required.
