The machines were supplied by distributor APS, which represents both MEC and Genie.  The Genie order comprised Z51/30 and Z60/34 rough terrain articulating booms and GR20 Runabouts.

Quick Reach Powered Access was founded last year by David and John Barton in Eccles, near Manchester.

David Barton said: “We pride ourselves on offering innovative solutions and the MEC 6092RT is a machine in a class of its own. This extends our scissor lift offering beyond the 15m platform heights available from other manufacturers and has proved very popular with our customers.”

The MEC 6092RT is an 18.2-metre (60ft) platform height rough terrain scissor with a 600kg lift capacity. Its Ultra-Deck dual roll-out extensions provide an overall platform length of 7.5 metres. Standard features include MEC’s Quad-Trax true four-wheel drive, active oscillating axle for rough terrain and auto-levelling outriggers. With a 2.34-metre wide chassis and a gross weight of 9,200kg, two machines can be transported together on a single flatbed trailer.
