Manufactured at the Bobcat plant in Dobris in the Czech Republic, the T450 is powered by the Bobcat D24 45.5 kW (61hp) turbocharged diesel engine, providing 25% more power than the T140 model. Bobcat claims that this gives it the best performance and engine power to weight ratio in its class.
The D24 engine in the T450 meets the EU Stage IIIB emission requirements through the use of cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) after-treatment technologies, with no diesel particulate filter (DPF).
Increased pressure in the hydraulic system provides improved attachment performance – the T450 can be matched with more than 80 different attachments and there are rear hydraulic auxiliary and seven-pin ACD connector options available. The T450 comes as standard with the quick-change Bob-Tach attachment mounting frame. The Power Bob-Tach system is an optional extra for changing non-hydraulic attachments at the flick of a switch.
The T450 has radial lift boom arms and a rated operating capacity of 665kg, up from the old T140’s 642kg capacity. Operating weight has been reduced from 2990kg to 2789kg.
The T450 has the same fully-enclosed cab design as the recently launched S450 skid-steer loader and all larger new generation Bobcat compact loaders. Buyers can choose cab pressurisation and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) options.
Other options include Bobcat’s advanced control system (ACS) and selectable joystick controls (SJC). The latter provides seat-mounted, electric-over-hydraulic joystick control.
