The agreement for the city’s sixth line covers the preparation of studies and designs for the line, construction and finance as well as the supply of vehicles and systems. Half of the 24 stations are expected to be in tunnels.
The role of local manufacturing is emphasised in the agreement, which sets a percentage of at least 40% of the project value for work awarded to local businesses.
