Peter Luska joins Stepnell from Bouygues UK, where he was senior purchasing manager, and so brings extensive construction procurement and supply chain experience. His career has included senior procurement roles within Leadbitter Group, now part of Bouygues, where he was group company buyer.

A key part of his role at Rugby-based Stepnell will be developing its supply chain strategy.

Mr Luska said: “I’m extremely pleased to be joining Stepnell which is a financially strong, highly-regarded construction company.  At a time when the industry as a whole faces pressing skills and materials shortages, ensuring that we have robust relationships with our suppliers and subcontractor partners is essential to our continuing delivery of the high-quality construction services and solutions which provide long-term value for our clients.”

Stepnell joint managing director Tom Wakeford added: “I’m delighted that we have secured someone of Peter’s calibre and with such a wide range of industry experience to take on this crucial national procurement role. Ensuring that the business continues to be backed by the best skills and labour and has access to top-quality construction materials is absolutely critical to the success of our growth strategy.”
