The project is part of the £3.7bn Canning Town and Custom House regeneration in the London Borough of Newham, to provide a new town centre and link to the existing facilities on Barking Road.

Bouygues Development is the project developer and main contractor is sister company Bouygues UK.

Designed by John McAslan + Partners, Hunter Associates and Associated Architects, phase two will provide additional shops, restaurants, a hotel and residential flats providing approximately 350 new homes (home ownership, private rental and social housing).

Olivier-Marie Racine, chairman and CEO of Bouygues Bâtiment International, said: “We are now looking forward to beginning the next phase of the Canning Town Regeneration project as we are currently in the process of handing over the first phase. Providing new housing, a hotel, public spaces and streets with shops and businesses, Bouygues Development is creating a dynamic and vibrant new district which will breathe new life into Canning Town, creating new opportunities for the local community.”

Handover is scheduled for 2017.

Hallsville Quarter is one of London’s biggest regeneration programmes and is being developed in five phases. It will include the construction of roughly 1,100 new homes, more than 30,000m² of leisure and retail premises and more than 3,000m² of community amenities.
