British Museum starts contractor search
The British Museum is expecting to spend £75m on small-scale building works over the next five years and is looking for contractors for a framework agreement.
The British Museum contractors’ framework will be divided into two lots: one for general building works (£40m total), and one for mechanical & electrical works (£35m). Individual projects will be in the value range of £25,000 to £2.5m.
Works will be commissioned by discrete pieces of work through mini-competition or direct call off using JCT Minor or Intermediate Works contract with British Museum amendments.
The British Museum has adopted Constructionline for its procurement and assessment of contractors.
