Bunton adds Sandvik QJ341 to its fleet

26 Aug 14 The latest addition to Bradford-based R Bunton’s fleet is a QJ341 tracked jaw crusher from Sandvik Construction.

The plant hire, ground works, construction and excavation business - which works both as a main contractor and as a subcontractor - chose the QJ341 for its versatility and productivity. In addition to being a key part of the plant hire operation, it is proving to be ideal for the company’s contracting operations. The flexibility of the machine enables it to travel quickly from site to site, as the unit possesses hydraulically folding tail and side conveyors, and a rigid one-piece hopper designed for quicker set-up times.

The QJ341 was developed to meet European and US combustion engine exhaust gas legislation. It retains features of earlier models including a 1200mm by 750mm reverse crushing action to relieve blockages, plus an automatic central lubrication system. In addition, the QJ341 comes with new features designed to ensure continuous, uninterrupted crushing and greater operator safety.  These include a load control system for the feeder drive, level sensor fitted to the jaw and speed wheel fitted to the main conveyor. One of the key design changes has seen the main conveyor being fitted with a raise and lower facility for increased magnet clearance together with ease of transportation.
