Camden Council starts contest for £39m Abbey Road development

The Abbey Area Redevelopment Phase 1 project comprises the construction of one 14-storey tower and several six-storey blocks plus a full basement, to create 141 homes. The plans also include a 400m² supermarket.

The development is to be built on the site of a car park in London’s Belsize Road, on the junction of Abbey Road.

The council is looking to appoint a contractor in February 2015, with a five month design development and value engineering period, before construction begins August 2015.
