Camelford aggregate plant gets Finlay crushers
Fahey’s Concrete has added two new Terex crushers at its aggregate processing plant in Camelford, Cornwall.
The Terex Finlay J-1175 jaw crusher and C-1540 RS cone crusher were bought from local dealer Finlay Plant SW.
The J-1175 jaw crusher comes with an independent pre-screen, while the cone crusher has pre-screen and a side conveyor.
The J-1175 has an independent pre-screen, with a very aggressive action, which eradicates as many fines as possible, prior to the rock entering the jaw chamber.
Following the J-1175 is the C-1540 RS. The crushed product passes directly over an on-board 1.83m x 1.22m single deck screen, prior to the cone chamber. Finlay Group fitted a side conveyor under the screen, giving the option of a screened product from the J-1175.
After the material has passed through the cone chamber, it is then conveyed over a 3.66m x 1.52m single deck screen, oversize transfer conveyor, recirculating conveyor and fines conveyor.
Finlay Plant SW managing director Gareth Johnson said: “The cone crusher is also constantly choke fed, which helps develop a precise shape for the product and eradicates any shale. With the J-1175 and the C-1540 RS being perfectly matched, we have tried to cater as closely as possible to the customer’s needs.”
One of the biggest concrete producers in Devon and Cornwall, Fahey’s Concrete is a family-run business, with more than 35 years’ experience. Products include grit stone for Stone Mastic Asphalt.
