Carillion secures £240m extension to Oman FM deal

6 Jul 16 Carillion Alawi is to continue the provision of facilities management services for Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) after signing a 4.5-year contract extension.

The £240m contract extension for Carillion’s Oman involves the provision of integrated FM services at 12 locations across the country.

Carillion Alawi began working in partnership with PDO in July 2013 to deliver a service across the PDO estate, which covers an area of some 100,000 square kilometres.   The range of services being delivered includes engineering maintenance, projects, catering and environmental services.

Carillion chief executive Richard Howson said: ''We are delighted to have secured the contract extension for PDO that reflects the strong partnership we have developed with PDO.  It also reinforces our commitment to supporting PDO through the efficient management and operation of its critical infrastructure, using our sector leading ability to provide facilities management services to the oil and gas sector across the Middle East, including operating in the challenging desert environment where the vast majority of PDO's assets are located.
