The transaction’s proceeds of US$53m (£37m) will be used mainly for debt reduction and for general corporate purposes.
The closing of the agreement is subject to the satisfaction of standard conditions for this type of transactions. Cemex currently expect to finalise the deal during the second quarter of this year.
