CIC wants to know what inspires people in construction

25 Feb 14 The Construction Industry Council (CIC) 2050 Group has launched a survey to gain an insight into what inspires people working in construction today.

The survey, Creating a great industry we can be proud to work in, is aimed at  professionals across all disciplines and of all ages and stages in their careers.

The aim is to provide an insider’s view of what will constitute a successful industry and work environment going forward.

CIC 2050 Group chair Louise Clarke said: “The future success of the construction industry depends on its people and the industry therefore needs to better understand what’s important to the people working in it, what motivates them and what changes might encourage new people to join. This is an important piece of work and its success is dependent on the widest possible participation. I encourage everyone to contribute.”

The survey will enable individuals to express their views on whether they find the built environment an inspirational industry to work in and why. It will guide the group in its strategic planning for future activities and its findings will inform a report that will be circulated among senior industry figures and the main industry bodies via the Construction Leadership Council.

The survey closes 31 March 2014 and can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2050Group
