The project is located in Bucaramanga, the capital city of the Santander region. The region is a hub for manufacturing and is experiencing economic growth. The location means that Palonegor is one of the one of the country’s key airports, transporting more than 1.5 million passengers per year.
The value of the contract is put at £24m. The tender process will begin on 24 April and end on 7 May.
