Dawnus’ £9.25m contract encompasses the design and build of a 9-screen Cineworld cinema complex and 30,000 sq ft of retail units below. Completion is set for summer 2015.
The first phase of the development was a shopping centre, which opened last year. That was built by McLaren Group.
The location is roughly midway between Portsmouth and Southampton. The development is also backed by the Universities Superannuation Scheme.
