Construction of Brisbane tower begins

4 Jun 16 Construction is now under way of the AU$170m (£85m) Fortitude Valley tower in Brisbane, Australia.

The 14-level project is set to create more than 1,300 local construction jobs across the next two years. Local Queensland-based company Hutchinson Builders is contractor for the scheme.

The new office tower at 900 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley, will become the new headquarters for Australia’s largest rail freight company, Aurizon, and its 1,700 staff from 2018. The project is being delivered by Consolidated Properties Group (CPG) and Charter Hall Group.

The building was designed by architect John Wardle.
