Contractors wanted for £250m county highways framework

5 Oct 15 Up to 20 highways contractors are being sought to share a four-year local authority framework worth up to £250m.

The contract is being advertised by Hampshire County Council on behalf of a consortium of local highway authorities across the south of England.

The Generation 3 Civil Engineering, Highways and Transportation Infrastructure Works Framework 2 framework starts in April 2016 and runs to 2020.

The framework is split into two geographic lots, southeast and southwest, with 10 contractors expected on each lot.

Southeast England covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Kent, Surrey and West Sussex. The southwest lot covers Devon, Dorset, the former county of Avon, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.

Suppliers are required to provide specialist civil engineering structural works, complex highway infrastructure works, public authority civil engineering works and associated medium value construction work between the individual project values of approximately £50,000 to £10m.
