Wessex Demolition’s new EC250E and EC300E have been supplied with factory specified options for secondary demolition applications. These include heavy duty belly plates, side impact protection rails, heavy duty boom and bucket cylinder guards, additional mesh grills to protect the engine and cooling system from erroneous particles and FOGs guarding for the operator’s cab.
It is the first time that the contractor has opted for Volvo equipment.
Contracts manager Ashley Grant said: “We were in the market to replace two mid-sized excavators for our demolition fleet and wanted to choose a proven and reliable brand that would give a good return on the total cost of ownership, high residual values along with sound after sales support.
“Having looked long and hard at the market we felt the Volvo product stood head and shoulders above the rest.”
