Among the so-called Precision Point small-nosed nailers are 15 gauge angled and 16 gauge straight Finish nailers, together with an 18 gauge Brad nailer, all with selectable triggers. These tools also have a work surface detection mechanism which prevents the nailer from firing if the tip is not in contact with the surface. This reduces the risk of surface damage by eliminating the need to push against the work surface to actuate, Dewalt says.
The nail guns are available as a package with the new DPC10QTC compressor with twin outlets and roll cage to protect key components. This compressor has a low noise level of 71.5/89dBA – almost half the noise of other DeWalt compressors – for operation on site. It can run in either vertical (higher pick up) or horizontal (low CG) positon and at 20.4kg can be carried by hand.
