Doosan ditches Ingersoll Rand branding
Legacy branding is being phased out by Doosan Portable Power.
The logo of Ingersoll Rand, former owner of the compressors, generators and lighting towers business, can still be seen on compressors until the end of the year but will go completely next year.
Under the new scheme, the front and back ends of the compressor, light tower and generator products now carry the three-colour Doosan corporate logo, while the sides of these units have the large Doosan black product logo.
Doosan acquired several of the construction equipment businesses of Ingersoll Rand in 2007, including Bobcat, Geith and Montabert. The Korean manufacturer has decided that after five years the Ingersoll Rand brand no longer carries enough weight in the industry.
