Drake & Scull lands Vietnam water contract

21 Nov 12 Drake & Scull International (DSI) subsidiary Passavant-Roediger has won a contract for the expansion of the Thu Duc water treatment plant in Vietnam.

The contract is worth AED169m (£29m) and is the first project for Passavant-Roediger in Vietnam.

Under the terms of the contract, Passavant-Roediger will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a 300,000m3/day water treatment plant, treating river water to provide drinking water to the region’s inhabitants. The project will use Passavant-Roediger’s patented Turbo-LME technology.

Passavant-Roediger will also be responsible for the construction of the river water intake pumping station and pressure mains pipes delivering the feed water to the plant.

This will be the third phase of the water delivery programme at Thu Doc, Vietnam.
