The wind farm, which is expected to provide ‘green’ power to over 410,000 homes, will comprise 67 Siemens 6MW wind turbine generators.  There are 24 miles of cable from the turbines to the sea bed to be laid as well as a further 45 miles of underground cabling to a new substation in Necton, Norfolk, where North Midland is working.

North Midland Construction’s work on the scheme includes steel-framed and clad building, the erection of fencing and bunding, the installation of drainage and work on the foundations. Completion is expected by June 2016.
