The anticipated cost of the construction of the new Boroughmuir High School is between £20m and £30m.
The five-storey building, designed by Allan Murray Architects, will be constructed from cast in-situ post-tensioned concrete flat slabs supported on concrete columns with cast in-situ stability cores.
Internally, the classrooms are arranged around a central atrium.
The council is looking to start construction by September 2014 and complete by September 2017.
