The event takes place on 1st December at the Crowne Plaza Resort in Maldon.
Construction buyers who have said they will be there include Essex County Council, South Essex Homes, Essex County Fire & Rescue Service and NHS London Procurement Partnership, along with major contractors Hill, Farrans Construction, Mears and Vinci Facilities.
They are looking to develop their construction supply chains in Essex. For example, South Essex Homes is looking for local firms to bid for a five-year, borough-wide electrical testing contract valued at £430,000.
“This is the perfect opportunity for local businesses to meet our buyers in person, promote their services, and understand how we procure work so they’re in a better position to pursue our future requirements,” said Michael Bryant, contract management and compliance team leader for property services at South Essex Homes.
