Ferrovial wins Polish expressway contract

20 Oct 14 Ferrovial Agroman subsidiary Budimex has been chosen by the Polish Roads Authority to build a 20km section of the S7 expressway.

The €68m (£52m) section will link the city of Jedrzejow and the border with the Malopolska region.

Ferrovial Agroman is also part of the consortium building the dual carriageway, which will have four junctions. Budimex and Ferrovial Agroman will build the viaducts, bridges and pedestrian over- and underpasses on the segment and will also upgrade the adjacent roads.

The project period is 25 months, excluding winter months. Once completed, Expressway S7 will run for 720km and will connect the port city of Gdansk in the north with the town of Rabka-Zdroj in the south.
