The plant is one of the largest in the UK and is being made even bigger through a project being undertaken by main contractor JN Bentley.

Bauer’s foundations subcontract involves installing rotary bored piling to a maximum depth of 28.5 metres through tricky coal seams.  Piling work started on site in January 2015 and is expected to take two months to complete.

Allied Colloids began manufacturing at the Bradford site more than 50 years ago. In 1997, it was acquired by Ciba, and in 2008 by BASF.
