The site – Aerohub@Newquay Cornwall Airport – is an aviation-focused enterprise zone (EZ) with space for more than 30,000 sq ft of buildings. Phase one, scheduled to be complete by June 2015, will make the business park is investor ready, with site services including road access, electricity, water and broadband.
The funding comprises £2.3m from the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) and a £3.9m grant from the European Regional Development Fund Convergence. The land has been provided by Cornwall Council.
Aerohub@Newquay Cornwall Airport is being led by the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership and Cornwall Council. They have co-commissioned Cornwall Development Company, the council’s arm’s length development company, to deliver the enterprise zone project alongside Cornwall Airport Limited as the operator of the airport.
