24 Jun 14 Galliford Try has reached financial close with Kent County Council on a £100m house-building contract.

Under the council’s ‘Excellent Homes for All’ scheme, Galliford Try Partnerships will part-finance and build 240 extra care apartments, along with communal facilities, at seven sites across Kent to provide supported living for vulnerable adults.

Galliford Try will also provide ongoing facilities maintenance and lifecycle management services in operating the scheme.

Housing Management services for the project will be provided by West Kent Housing Association, as Galliford Try's partner

Galliford Try chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: "We are delighted to have reached agreement with our partners at Kent County Council on this initiative and are now able to get the project underway. Extra Care remains an important sector for Galliford Try and we look forward to providing the high quality homes and facilities that Kent's residents deserve."
