Galliford Try Partnerships is seeking to build a development of 105 two-bedroom apartments on Princess Road, Manchester, a key arterial road into Manchester city centre.

The developer describes the scheme, designed by architects IDP, as ‘an exciting alternative’ in ‘an emerging location’.

The stepped building will be six storeys at its highest and finished in red brick.

Pending planning approval, Galliford Try Partnerships hopes to begin work on-site in early 2018, with the development set for completion in summer 2019.

Darren Leary, development director at Galliford Try Partnerships, said: “This distinctive scheme will transform this part of the city, provide a high-quality housing offer to the local community and deliver a contemporary and exciting new piece of architecture responding to the local character of the neighbourhood. With city living growing more and more popular among young professionals, students and families, it’s great that we can use our expertise and experience to provide more high-quality places for people to live in urban areas.”
