GB to deliver £6m care home
GB Building Solutions has been selected as main contractor to convert an old Georgian building into a £6m luxury care home in Salisbury for Gracewell Healthcare.
Salisbury Manor care home will have 62 bedrooms over three storeys. It will be built within the Salisbury Old Manor Hospital Conservation Area and in traditional Georgian design, maintaining the original 1840 façade.
GB Building Solutions chairman and chief executive Martin Smout said: “Over the last six years we have built up an impressive track record of constructing care schemes across the country undertaking £340m of schemes and providing more than 2,400 beds.
“This new care home in Salisbury will add to our experience and marks the beginning of a new working relationship with Gracewell Healthcare."
Tim Street, Chief Executive Officer of Gracewell Healthcare, said Salisbury Manor would set the standard for a new generation of luxurious and personalised care homes.
Work is expected to be completed in September 2012.
