Graham wins £8.5m university science building

15 Dec 14 Graham Construction has been awarded a contract to build a new £8.5m science building at Liverpool Hope University.

The project includes the demolition of the existing Health Sciences building and the construction of a new Health Sciences teaching unit for Liverpool Hope University. Completion is expected in December 2015.

The new two-storey building will have a gross internal floor area of approximately 2,900m². It will have specialist laboratory spaces for studying nutrition, genomics, cell biology and psychology, along with laboratories and space for sports science.

The surrounding external areas will also be landscaped and the adjacent car park will be extended.

Also working on the project are architect Watson Batty, structural engineer Clancy Consulting and mechanical & electrical engineer Steven A Hunt & Associates.
