Hanson extends Hewden crane deal

Plant hire company Hewden has extended its supply agreement with construction materials group Hanson for another two years.

The contract follows Hewden’s previous agreement with Hanson, which began in 2010.

Hanson’s product range includes bricks, cement, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt. It uses cranes extensively for the installation of precast concrete flooring.

Hanson Building Products senior contract manager James Fraser-Mitchell said: “We decided to renew our agreement with Hewden based on its proven ability to service our requirements. The availability of good management information and service level data we receive from Hewden helps us to address continuous improvement.”

Hewden national account manager Richard Hall added: “Factors such as competitiveness, health and safety performance and service quality were given high weighting when it came to Hanson’s choice of supplier.  Thanks to our proven track record we were able to demonstrate compliance in all these areas and we are looking forward to continuing our strong partnership with Hanson.”
