Harlow plans £67m housing refurbishment programme
Harlow District Council is putting together a panel of three framework contractors to take on up to £67m of housing improvement work over a four-year period.
Harlow’s ‘modern homes programme’ is looking to refurbish its entire residential housing stock of more than 12,000 homes.
It is envisaged that two framework partners will share the internal works – fitting new kitchens, bathrooms and boilers, and rewiring where necessary – with an estimated value of £50m to £60m.
A third supplier will take on £7m of doors and windows replacement work.
