Adrian Murphy takes over at Hewden from Kevin Parkes, who handed in his notice in December after more than five years in charge of Hewden.

Adrian Murphy is now Hewden CEO with immediate effect after spending less than a year with rival firm Speedy.

Mr Murphy joined Speedy as UK chief operating officer only in April 2014. He previously worked for United Technologies Corporation, firstly as managing director for Chubb Fire & Security Systems, and later as a commercial director for the Building Industrial Systems division. Before that, he was with Hilti as UK sales director 2004-07 and then managing director until 2010.

Commenting on his new job, Mr Murphy said “I am delighted to be joining Hewden whose brand and tradition is so well recognised across the industry. I look forward to meeting and working with my new team to further develop the business”.
